William A. Surrarrer

William A. Surrarrer, 85, of Medina, Ohio passed onto his heavenly home on Friday, August 25, 2023.

William was born May 31, 1938 in Lodi, Ohio to the late George and Mary (nee Suhr) Surrarrer and has been a lifelong resident of Medina County.

William was an active member of the First Baptist of Valley City for many years. His first job as a teenager turned out to be the same job all his life. He served a lengthy career at Files Electric in Grafton.  After retiring, he worked at the Porter Shoe Repair, Medina. William was quite talented with repairing just about anything, specializing in electric motors and clocks.

William loved his dogs, especially Tanner.

He will be greatly missed by his brother Morris (Yvonne) Surrarrer, fourteen nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth (Richard) Beard, Leona (Chester) Hiltbrunner, Mary (Frank) Booth, 2 nephews and 2 nieces.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio, and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Wednesday.

Funeral Service- 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023,

First Baptist of Valley City, 6939 Center Road Valley City.

Burial- York Township Cemetery, Mallet Creek, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers-memorials may be made to the church.
