William D. Merriman, Jr.

William D. Merriman, Jr. age 68, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away peacefully, Monday, December 21, 2020 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Bill was born January 3, 1952 in Berea, Ohio to the late William and Alice (nee Peake) Merriman. Bill was one of seven children.  He grew up in Cuyahoga County and had resided in Medina County for many years prior to moving to Strongsville, recently.

Bill had worked as a carpenter for over 30 years and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

He was an avid fisherman and his greatest joy was being with his children and grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Deborah (nee Wise), cherished son and daughter, Jacob (Dena) Merriman and Melissa (Mark) Frew.

Adored grandchildren, Carly, Halle, Brayden, Tyler, Benjamin and Lyla.

Dear brother of Gary, Jerry and Carl, Treasured friend, Dave Lavelle and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by sisters, Marsha, Suzanne and Jackie.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date when it will be safer for family and friends to join together.

The family suggests memorials may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
