Wilbur Henry Orth, 86, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2021.
Wilbur was born October 2, 1935 in Medina, Ohio to the late Henry and Rosina (Muntz) Orth. He lived most of his life in Valley City and moved to Medina several years ago.
Wilbur was a United Sates Army veteran serving from 1956-1959, stationed in Germany. He was a lifelong active member of the Valley City VFW Post #5563, where he continued to serve the community at flag raising and other Veteran’s activities. Wilbur was also a lifelong faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City.
He had many different experiences during his working career, and retired from Industrial Plastics after 20 years of service.
Wilbur is survived by nephews, Dennis (Patty) Marvin and David (Jean) Marvin, and Richard Denson; nieces, Cheryl (Jim) Hedrick), Judy (David) Beck and Carol Genther, and also many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Klinect and Delores Denson.
Following Wilbur’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or VFW Post # 5563, both of Valley City, Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff at Samaritan Care Center for the loving care provided to Wilbur.
