Wanda Louise(Stout)Miller, 92, of Lodi, Ohio passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born on February 1, 1932 , Braxton County, West Virginia to the late Warder and Eliza Ann (Davis) Stout. Wanda lived in Webster County West Virginia prior to moving to Valley City in the mid 1950's.
She was an avid gardener, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed canning and sharing, especially her canned beets. Wanda enjoying fishing in Ohio, West Virginia , New York and Canada. Wanda was well known as a good shot and making vension tacos for her great grandson Tyler.
While in West Virginia she attended Cherry Falls Church, where she was baptized in the Elk River by Sam Nichols. After returning to Ohio she enjoyed attending Black River Church of the Brethren, Spencer. She was always up for a good challenge during bible study. Wanda was affectionately known as Granny by loved ones and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories: loving daughter Evelyn (Larry) Kiner, cherished grandchildren Elaine Kiner and Clayton Kiner, great grandchildren Tyler Kiner (Kaitlyn), Kristyanne (Caleb) Crawford; Becca and Jesse Kiner, and John "JD" Glaish. Wanda was proud to claim five generations, that included the following great great grandchildren: Khloe, Bella and Theo Clayton Kiner and Kiner Brooks Crawford. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Wanda was the last surviving member of 13 children.
Preceded in death by the following siblings: Pauline Knight, Cecil Stout, Bill Stout, Henry Stout, Jim Stout, Floyd Stout, Jake Stout, Mary Stout, June Stout, Wink Vargo, Frances Lambert and Shirley Cogar.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Black River Church of the Brethren, 10322 Old Mill Road, Spencer, Ohio with the Pastor Mark Teal, officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the funeral at church. Burial will follow at Litchfield Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and visits especially Suzie Lause and Ray Cepik, Pastor Mark and Shelly Teal. Family also thanks Medina Hospice of Western Reserve for their loving care, especially Anne Thompson RN. A very special thanks to Wanda's favorite niece "depending on the day" Brenda Metts and Karen Smith for the loving care, stories and laughs.
In Lieu of flowers: memorials may be made to the Black River Church of the Brethren or Medina Hospice of the Western Reserve.
