Vivian Hershey Obituary

Vivian J. Hershey, 94, of Valley City, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Vivian was born on September 16, 1930 in Minerva, Ohio to the late Edgar and Valois Johnston. She has resided in Valley City since 1972. Vivian had attended Ohio State University.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City and was involved in the Ladies Circle and Bible Study.
Vivian had been a toll collector with the Ohio Turnpike for many years. Following her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at Medina General Hospital. Vivian enjoyed traveling and especially being with her family.
She will be greatly missed by her three sons, Kevin (Paula) Coombes, Michael Coombes and Steven Coombes.  Grandson Chad (Marjorie) Coombes and two great grandchildren, Cade and Madelyn. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Wilma Johnson.
Preceded in death by her siblings, Dr. Robert (Delores) Johnston, Donald Johnston, Richard (Shirley) Johnston, Darrell Johnston and Betty (Fred) Johnson.
Following Vivian's request, there will be no services and cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held in the family cemetery in Minerva, Ohio.
Memorials suggested if desired, may be made to Zion Lutheran Church 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City, Ohio 44280.
The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City, Ohio has the honor of serving Vivian's family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medina General Hospital, Medina County Achievement Center or Zion Lutheran Church.
