Troy R. (Petrides) Hauser

Troy Hauser, 69, of Strongsville, Ohio passed away Sunday December 4, 2022.

Troy was born in Sarasota, Florida on April 1, 1953. Troy was an amazing mother who always had her daughters’ back, a caring and nurturing wife and a proud grandma.

Troy got her first Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture at the University of Florida and then when moving to Ohio, she got her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics so she could become a computer engineer.

Troy worked as a computer engineer at NASA for 28 years and absolutely loved what she did and it’s where she made some really amazing lifelong friends. She retired from NASA December 31, 2015.

Troy loved going to the sailboat in Vermillion, Ohio on the weekends as a family when her girls were growing up as well as watching Kristen compete in horse shows and Erika in her soccer games.

Within the last few years, Troy picked up photography and taught herself photo editing and how to take beautiful pictures of nature. She absolutely loved her time with her friends meeting places to take pictures of butterflies, the moon, flowers and more.

Recently, Troy went on a trip to as part of her bucket list , to Maine with Erika and Kristen to eat as much Lobster as possible, saw a lighthouse and spend quality time. She said it was the “best trip ever”. These moments were precious to her daughters and will be held tight.

Troy believed in Jesus and was excited to see her husband, Hans, again in heaven.

Preceded in death, just this year, by her husband of 41 years, Hans Hauser as well as her mom, Shirley Petrides, and father, James Petrides, her Grandparents, Chris and Narangia Petrides. Her Uncles Charles and Frederick Petrides, Aunt Efthalia (Ethel) Petrides.

Troy will be so incredibly missed by her children, Kristen Hauser (Ang), Erika (Bryan) Baker, and their children, Liam, Paisley, and Silas; Phyllis Petrides, Janet, Cousins Albert Petrides (spouse Janet), William Petrides (spouse Eva), James (spouse Martha) Petrides, Carole Petrides Bakke (Spouse Chris), Patricia Murphy (Jim), Jeanette Petrides Gentry (Spouse Joe), Petra Dunlap her children, Ryan, Niki and Heather; Raymond (Michelle) Hauser, and Gaby Lindemann. Also 5 great grandchildren.

Private Family Graveside Service was held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Valley City, OH.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday December 17, 2022, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Therapeutic Riding program at Camp Cheerful.
