Timothy Roskey Obituary

Timothy Curtis Roskey, 61, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Tim was born November 8, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Biruta (Sarna) Roskey.

Loving husband of Wren, Dearest father of Heather Jamison (Michael Justice), Dana (Zane) Fessler, and Hayden (Stephanie Peters). Doting grandpa of Dean and Zoey Fessler, Best Buddy to Basco, and brother of Karen Knerem.

Tim loved living life to the fullest and definitely to the beat of his own drum.  If you asked him what was most important, Tim would say family and seeing his children and grandchildren together for holidays.

Tim loved to capture the excitement, often recording some of life’s funniest moments that became his treasured memories.

His favorite days were spent riding his motorcycle, tinkering in the garage or working on his home.  Tim spent many days on the lawnmower or digging in his garden.  He enjoyed making jelly and even won a blue ribbon at the fair. Tim was a do-it yourself man and there was no job that he couldn’t tackle.

Tim was Technical Director for WJW Fox8 and employed there for thirty years in many different positions. He was honored with numerous awards for his work in television. Tim was very involved in Nabet Local 42, for years, working diligently for his fellow union members as a Steward and negotiation team.

Tim was an avid sports fan for all levels from youth league to the Pros. He loved watching the Cleveland Browns and Cavs with Hayden.  Tim coached at many levels and most recently was honored to be a Coach at Black River in the football and basketball programs.  Whenever he was asked about what was important to HIM after family, Tim would say coaching “His Kids at BR”.  Tim never missed a chance to talk about how proud he was of their achievements.

Tim loved riding his Harley Davidson, viewing nature on the country roads, but there was always time to stop for a game or two of pool.  Tim enjoyed the changing season, fall being his favorite.  Tim’s kids could always count on his snowy yard pictures during winter.  He had realized his dream of a beach house, spending time walking the beach with Wren and cherishing the beautiful sunsets they shared.
