Steve F. Plata

Steve F. Plata, 68, of Columbia Station, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Steve was born November 11, 1954 in Berea, Ohio to the late Joseph and Frances (Palmar) Plata. He has been a lifelong resident of Columbia Station and a 1973 graduate of Columbia High School. Steve was an avid runner and still holds the record at Columbia High School for winning the two- mile run.

He also loved growing sunflowers to feed the bee hives on his property.

Steve was employed in production with Ford Motor Company, Brook Park, since 1976.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Steven (Allison) Plata and Stephanie Plata, grandchildren- Emma-Leah Plata and John Emery Plata.

Sisters Helen Andrews, Marie Chandler and Barbra Card. Also, a sister-in-law Brenda Plata.

Preceded in death by a brother- Joseph Plata and brother-in laws, Joseph Andrews and George Card.

Visitation will be held Weds, December 21, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where services will be held Thursday, at 11 AM.

Private Interment at Columbia Township Royalton Road Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers- The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
