Shirley A. (Davis) Robey

Shirley A. Robey, 84, Valley City, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Shirley was born December 20, 1937 in Clarksburg. W.VA to the late Hazel and Helen (Bunnel) Davis. She had resided in Valley City since the early 1960’s. A very dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Shirley had worked as a cook with the Buckeye School System and also was a custodian for Liverpool Township buildings.

She loved listening to country music and being with her family.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Jeffrey (Heidi) Robey, Cathy (David) Blankenship and Beverly (Willard) Scandlon, grandchildren

Heather (Toby), Stephanie (Russ), Keith, Jeffrey, Christopher (Tricia), Patricia Joy, Sara (Luke), Nicholas and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Brock, Graham, Lana Mae, Cullen, Charlie, Caleb, Scarlett, Bryor and Landyn. Special niece and nephew- Cindy Atkins-Zweifel, Mike Atkins and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is survived by one sister- Linda Atkins.

Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Wayne Robey, 2012; and two sisters, Mary Katherine Griffith and Carol Sue Nutter.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio with a Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Shirley’s grandson Christopher Andrews presiding. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.

There will be a luncheon immediately following the graveside service at the Liverpool Community Center 6801 School Street (entrance is off of West River Road) Valley City.
