Samuel W. Fekete, Jr.

Samuel W. Fekete, Jr. age 77, of North Ridgeville, Ohio passed into his heavenly home on Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Sam was born August 28, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Samuel Sr. and Lillian, (nee Horn) Fekete. He resided in Medina County for many years. Sam was a 1962 graduate of Buckeye High School. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts, a Cub Scout Master as well as a commissioner with the Boy Scouts in Lodi.  Sam was a member and commissioner of the Clan Campbell Society of Ohio and a proud member of the Highland Scottish Society. Sam enjoyed working with young people and formed a community youth meeting place in the basement of the Valley City Bank.  Sam was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting and drawing.

Sam had worked in the banking industry for 11 years at the former Lodi State Bank and Medina County Bank in Valley City and Lodi.

Changing careers, Sam had worked lastly as a welder and machinist with MTD/ Shiloh Industries, retiring in 2007.

He is survived by his sisters, Donna Winne, Roseann Fekete and Mary Sue (Ron) Claus. He is also survived by a brother, David Michael Fekete; Niece, Deanne (Thurman) Lahner and late nephews, Daniel and Bill Winne. His former wife, Mildred Fekete and her children, Dawn, Donald and the late Ronald.  Grand and great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Monday, January 4, 2021 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH. Burial at St. Martin Church Cemetery.

Private Family viewing was held prior to Mass.
