Ruth L (Thorne) Spears

Ruth L. Spears, 72, of LaGrange, Ohio passed away Monday, January 20, 2020.

Ruth was born September 23, 1947 in Ward, W. VA. to the late James and Jessie (nee Lucas) Thorne. She had resided in Lorain County for many years.

She was a homemaker and was noted for her wonderful cooking and baking. Ruth was a talented seamstress.

Ruth and her husband were members of the Lorain County Rabbit Breeders Association. She actively attended the Lorain County Fair with her rabbits.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Andrew. Children- Mary (Joe) Aungst and Andy Spears (Carol). Grandchildren- Jessica, Jenny and Joe Aungst. Also survived by a sister Frances Carpenter.

Preceded in death by brothers- Russell and James Thorne and sisters Mary May Carr and Doris Jean Potter.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Burial: Chatham Cemetery.
