Roy Edmond Schneider

Roy E. Schneider, 86, of Litchfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

Roy was born January 30, 1933 in Poland, Ohio to the late John and Mildred (nee Fink) Schneider. Roy has resided in Litchfield since 1976.

He was a United States Army veteran and had worked as a fresh fruit and vegetable inspector for the USDA for 30 + years.

After retirement from the Government, Roy had worked for Hallmark Marketing Installation Team for 10+ years.

Roy was a member of the Litchfield United Church of Christ Congregational for many years and was granted the honor of emeritus trustee. Roy was a devoted hard worker all his life. He restored and remodeled homes for his family.  He was a wood crafter, gardener and truly enjoyed the outdoors.

Roy’s family sincerely appreciated that “Dad’s sense of humor & happy spirit and the love of his family remained with him throughout his failing health”.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Sue, married 63 ½ years, children, Craig (Colleen) Schneider, Brenda (Greg) Trill, Dana (Renee) Schneider and Shelly (Scott) Ceol, grandchildren, Brandon (Kristin) Trill, Brandy (aka Jessie) (Cory) Belles, Addie & Holly Schneider, Corissa (Matt) Emert, Jarrod Ceol, Gabrielle (aka Gabby/Rose) Ceol and Kathleen (aka Katie) Ceol.

Great grandchildren, Everett and Violet Trill, Ivy & Aly Belles, Kaden Emert.

Also survived by two brothers, Jack and Robert (Sonny) Schneider.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Marion and Shirley.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 AM, Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Litchfield United Church of Christ Congregational 3928 Avon Lake Road, Litchfield, with the Rev. Will Smith and Residing Pastor Pam Hahn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the church or Hospice of Medina County.
