Richard Husman Obituary

Richard W. Husman, 65, of West Salem, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Richard was born April 27, 1954 in Bay Village, Ohio to William and Jean (Shields) Husman. He grew up in Valley City and had lived in Huron County prior to moving to West Salem.

Richard was a 1972 graduate of Buckeye High School and had worked at U. S. Steel, Cleveland for many years.

He loved auto racing and spent a number of years racing his own car. Richard was happiest out on a lake in his boat fishing. He enjoyed the outdoors and going hunting, also.

Richard will be greatly missed by his daughter, Bonnie Husman, grandchildren Scott and Gabrielle Latecki, his mother, Jean Husman, Sisters, Carol Murphy, Barbara (Gary) Gunkelman and Jeanne (William) Whapham. Nieces and nephews, Andy and Michelle Murphy, Brian (Julie) Gunkelman, Steve (Samantha) Gunkelman and Eric Whapham.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Husman.

During this current pandemic period, for the safety and health of our family and friends, we will have a Memorial Service at a later date that will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses or an organization of your choice.
