Phillip Boyce Kimes, 88, of Strongsville, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021 with his family by his side.
Phillip was born April 3, 1933 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late George and Dorothy (Cox) Kimes. He has resided in Cuyahoga County most of his life.
He was an active member of Berea Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. Phillip worked for Columbia Gas Company, drove truck for Consolidated Freightways, then worked the majority of his life in the heating and air conditioning field. He retired from the Gardiner Trane Company.
Phillip’s hobbies included target practicing, guns and knives, motorcycling, reading and studying the Bible. He was a avid Facebook user. Phillip had a great love for dogs and leaves behind his cherished companion Cooper.
Phillip is survived by his beloved wife Ethel (Schurdell), they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in December; daughters, Lindie (Guy) Penirelli, Karen O’Hearn, Laurie (Joe) Spahr and Charlotte (Billy) Barbo.
Grandfather of Jeremy (deceased), Jenelle, Kyle, Adrianne and Bradley.
Great grandfather of Jeremy, Riley, Kyrah, Titan and Skarlett.
There will be calling hours from 5:00-7:30 PM, Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 2, 2021 with the Rev. Kenneth Spink, officiating.
Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Garden, Brunswick. OH.
