Peter P. Carbone, Sr.

Peter P. Carbone, Sr., 88, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Peter was born in Canton, Ohio on July 4, 1936 to the late Harry and Jessimina (Notturno) Carbone. He grew up in Canton and lived in Tallmadge prior to moving to Medina in 2022.

He had worked for LTV Steel in Canton for 30 years.  Peter was a devout catholic and was an active member of the Holy Name Society for many years, where  he had served many offices. Peter was presently a member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City.

He and his wife Ruth of 40 years, enjoyed traveling.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ruth, son Christopher (Sheryl) Carbone, granddaughter Lizzie (David) Davis; Stepson, Gregory (Jacquie) Miller, grandsons, Matthew Miller, Alex (Ao) Miller and Kyle Miller, great granddaughter Amber Miller. Peter was one of 11 children. He is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Conversino and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am. Monday, February 10, 2025 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, where the Funeral Mass will be held at

11:00 am. Followed by burial at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Holy Name Society in Peter’s name.
