Patricia "Patty" Ferrier Obituary

Patricia (Patty) Ferrier (nee Dieckman), passed away April 21, 2022, surrounded by family.  She was born June 22, 1939, to Raymond and Ann Marie Dieckman. Patty graduated from Medina High School in 1957 and married the love of her life Jimmy, sharing 63 beautiful years together.

Patty worked alongside Jimmy as roofer, bookkeeper, farmer/gardener as well as homemaker, caregiver, and collector. She adored babies, nature, animals and people.  Patty enjoyed volunteering in her community and was integral in developing/coaching Chatham Township’s first youth female softball team. Patty’s generosity was demonstrated each Christmas with baking hundreds of specialty cookies and delivering them to her many friends.  Patty loved attending events for her children, grandchildren, and in later years, time with great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Her strength and unwavering love of God guided Patty through everything.

Patty is survived by her daughters: Leslie Parker, Wooster; Toni (Evan) Hollopeter, Chatham; Charlie (Ryan) Lutz, Medina; Danny Fugate (Tom Johnson), Jamestown, ND.  Seven grandchildren: Jamie (Matt) Perez, Atlanta, GA; Michael (Nicole) Hollopeter, Kirtland; Sierra (Kyle) Timko, Royal Oak, MI; Erin (Jay) Vaidya, Cleveland; Bryan Parker, Wooster; Jess (Ian) Good, Mt. Vernon; Jace (Stacy) Fugate, Zanesfield. Nine great grandchildren: Liam Beckett, Grace and Ford Hollopeter; Camden and Jackson Perez, Miles Vidya; Nora Timko; Finn Good; #10 great grandbaby Timko due in May.

Patty is dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse Jimmy; son Thaddeus, sisters Donna Bessmer and Joanne Garris.
