Patricia A. (Kort) Holmes

Patricia A. Holmes, 82, of Wadsworth, Ohio went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 18, 2020.

 Pat was born January 27, 1938 in Medina, Ohio to the late Paul and Lucille (nee Miller) Kort.  She has resided in Medina County all of her life.

Pat and her late husband Charles had owned and operated the Friendly Shell Gas Station and towing service in Medina for many years. She also had worked as a receptionist for Carey Color in Sharon Center for over 25 years.

Pat enjoyed watching the Hallmark movies, and keeping her mind active working on word search puzzles. Her greatest love was watching her grand and great-grandchildren in all their activities.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Larry (Jana) Holmes of Medina, Lori (Keith) Smith of Litchfield and Lynette (Scot) Hoffman of Wadsworth.   Grandchildren, Missy Holmes of Wadsworth, Michelle (Jon) Harris, of Medina, Brian Smith and Kellie Smith-Dash (Chad) both of Medina, Charlie and Cylie Hoffman , both of Wadsworth; great grandchildren, Brock, Noah, Donovin, Michael, Brittnie, Makenzie and Harlow; Sister-in-law, Rena (Ron) Thomas of Lodi, brother, Garry (Debbie) Kort, of AZ and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles F. Holmes, Jr. on October 14, 2015, her cherished son Loren A. Holmes in 1968 and two brothers, Richard Kort and Robert Kort.

Private Family viewing was held. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Litchfield Cemetery, Norwalk Road, 11:30 AM, Weds. December 23, 2020, with Pastor Randy K’Meyer, officiating.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, or to any animal charity of choice.
