Nancy J. (Mott) Pressnell

Nancy J. Pressnell, age 74, of Valley City, Ohio was welcomed into heaven by her loving son Scottie on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

Nancy was born in Medina, Ohio on August 22, 1946 to the late Joseph and June (nee Krah) Mott. She has resided in Medina County all her life. Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Buckeye High School. In the early years of her life she had worked at the former Dobson Grocery Store in Valley City, NAPA auto parts in Medina, Medina County Credit Bureau and Dr. Mayer’s office in Middleburg Hts.  Nancy was employed by Buckeye Local School System as Director of the Latch Key program from 1994-2005, where she was known to many kids as “Mrs.P”.

Nancy had been an EMT with the Valley City Rescue Squad and was very active with the Valley City Little League Baseball teams when her son was involved.

Nancy dearly cherished private babysitting for many families in the community and she just loved those “little” ones. 

She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends. Nancy had a great love for golden retriever dogs.

Survived by her husband Wayne, married 45 years. She was the mother of her precious son Scott who passed away in 1994. Children-Lisa (Greg) Schroll, Kimberly (Joe) Vanhoy, Mark (Brenda) Pressnell and Matt Pressnell. 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Brother- Thomas (Barbara) Mott and their children- Michael, Kristen and Patrick, 7 great nieces and nephews.

A private viewing for the family will be held on Sunday.  All friends and family are welcome to the Graveside Service- 1:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2020 at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.

In lieu of Flowers – Memorials may be sent to  SPCA in Nancy’s memory.
