Mollie A. (Fair) Greene

Mollie A. Greene, 88, of Valley City, Ohio was called to Heaven on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

She was born in Wheeling, West Virigina on November 18, 1936 to the late Richard and Frances (Hiscocks) Fair.  After graduating high school, Mollie moved to Cleveland, Ohio to attend the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. In 1956, Mollie met David, who quickly became the love of her life. They spent 68 wonderful years together, a tribute to Mollie’s endless patience and sense of humor.

Mollie was happiest when she was with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending the summers on Lake Erie, playing cards with friends, and preparing many wonderful meals for her family. Mollie welcomed many dogs into her home, both those of her own and those of her children and grandchildren who frequently stopped to visit.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, David; daughter, Denise; sons, David (late Lucia) and Greg (Jessica); grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Karli (Ryan Buck), Kristen (Gregory) Glatzhofer, Kyle, Abby, Adaline, and Jon Mayer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Jeanne, Ellen, and Richard.

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours.
