Maureen A. Rupanovic, passed on to her heavenly home, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Maureen was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Rudolph and Veronica. After marriage to her husband Donald, she moved to Medina County to raise her family.
Maureen was a very active member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City, where she was involved in Infant of Prague, Spiritual Life and Healing Ministry and also a Eucharistic minister to the homebound members. She dedicated much of her time as an active leader for the Medina County Right to Life. Maureen was also a member of the Northeast Ohio Right to Life.
She was a proud mom of four and quite involved in their school, including both academic and athletic achievements, especially supporting her son’s wrestling events.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald, married September 20, 1969, devoted children, Richard (Michelle) Rupanovic, Stephen (Stacy) Rupanovic, Edward Rupanovic and Jennifer (Eddie) Nau. Loving grandchildren, Justin, Jacob, Emily, Evan (deceased), Ryan, Michael, Domonic, Katie, Mitchell and Aubrey. Dearest sister of Larraine (Alexander, deceased) Greeney, the late James Hubka (Louise, deceased), Richard Hubka (deceased), Gail Hubka (deceased). Bernadette (Jerry) Grammes, and twin sister, Mary (John) Fortino.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2024
in the chapel of St. Martin of Tours 1800 Station Road Valley City, Ohio with visitation from 9:00-9:45 AM in the St. Martin Church Gathering Area prior to the Mass. Burial in St. Martin Church Cemetery.
There will be a luncheon following the service for family and friends in the Parish Center.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Medina County Right to Life or St. Martin Church Building Fund.
