Matthew G. Kilkenny

Matthew G. Kilkenny, 65, of Medina, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Matthew was born September 28, 1959 in Medina, Ohio to the late George and Edna (Roell) Kilkenny.  He was a lifelong resident of Medina County and a graduate of Medina High School.

Matthew had been a steelworker at Medina Blanking. He enjoyed listening and sharing his love for music. Matthew was a U.S. Army veteran.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Geraldine “Geri” (Spoth), married 21 years, children, Philip Kilkenny, Stewart Kilkenny, Heather Ward and Michelle Ward.  Grandchildren, Angel, William and Richard Spring, Ethan White and Jeremy Ward. Siblings, Michael (Diane) Kilkenny, Brien (Valerie) Kilkenny, Margaret Kilkenny (late Don Jefferies), Elizabeth (David) Muntean and Megan (Robert) Wagner, and also numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life visitation will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 am at the Cornerstone Chapel, 3939 Granger Road Medina, OH with the service at 11:00 am.  There will be a luncheon following the service

Family and friends are invited to the Committal Service with complete military honors at 2:15 pm, Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.  (Please meet at the entrance 15 minutes earlier).
