Marilyn Pendolino, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the age of 81. She will be remembered by friends and family for her strong beliefs, care for others, and being true to herself and those she loved. Marilyn challenged the people in her life to grow and become the best versions of themselves. Encouraging them to do so in their own unique ways. She valued thoughtful conversation and urged others to consider different perspectives while remaining mindful of their roots.
Born on December 8, 1944, in Lorain, Ohio to Victor and Helen (Urban) Lukesic. Marilyn was one of four siblings, alongside Raymond, Richard and Betty (Kollar). She graduated from Parma High School in 1962 and moved to Medina County in 1976, where she became a valued and active member of the community.
Marilyn shared her passions for birdwatching, gardening, reading, shopping, homemaking, family, and her faith with those around her.
She could often be found sitting on her patio reading while enjoying the sounds of birds singing and keeping a close watch for the hummingbirds she loved most as they visited her flowers. Marilyn was deeply dedicated to her community at Saint Martin of Tours, in Valley City, where she worked for 20 years and continued to serve her church and community even after her retirement.
Marilyn’s 53- year marriage to Thomas J. Pendolino, prior to his passing, and the family they built together were her greatest joys in life. Their children—Tom, Natalie (Harshman), and Matt- gave them five grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved and given countless opportunities for success. Marilyn was especially looking forward to the birth of two great-grandchildren, twin boys due this spring. She is survived by her brother, Raymond; her sons, Tom and Matt; her grandchildren, Angela (Pepin), Maddie, Zachary, Benjamin, and Jacob, who will carry forward the values she instilled and the stories she shared. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, conviction, devotion and deep love that will be remembered for generations.
Following Marilyn’s request, cremation has taken place.
A Remembrance Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH. She will be laid to rest along side her husband Tom in the church cemetery.
