Marilyn R. DiLeonardo, 88, of Valley City passed onto her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Marilyn was born February 24, 1932 in Cleveland to the late Alfred and Pauline (nee Runitsky) LePelley has resided in Valley City since 1977.
Marilyn was very involved in activities of her children, whether it was President of Liverpool PTA, Girl Scouts Leader or Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. She volunteered endless hours for the Marine Corp League and was a member of the Valley City VFW Auxiliary. Marilyn was devoted to her church St. Martin of Tours, always giving of her time with great ease.
Marilyn was an Avon Lady for 30 years and worked with Welcome Wagon for many years. She lastly worked in the deli at Buehler’s Forest Meadows, Medina.
With all of her superb culinary skills, she will be fondly remembered for the numerous pastries, meals and cakes she shared with family and friends for all occasions. Marilyn was a genuine person who never met a stranger and always had a beautiful smile to share.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Skip) (Diane) DiLeonardo, Michael (Sally) DiLeonardo, Anthony DiLeonardo and Paula Young.
Grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 14. A brother James (Paulette) LePelley and a sister Delores Yarmock.
Preceded in death by her husband Frank, in 2010, a son James and a daughter Susan.
A viewing will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH. We will encourage social distancing and ask guests to wear masks. Please pay your respects to the family by kindly passing through and exiting.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2020 at St. Martin of Tours 1800 Station Road, Valley City. Masks will be required at church. Family and friends, please meet at church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
