Maria (Spelic) Luich

Maria Luich, 90, formerly of Grafton, Ohio passed away Monday, January 29, 2024. Maria was born on April 28, 1933 in Croatia to the late Matija and Ana (Kvacica) Spelic. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Luich, in 2016; and by her two brothers and sister.

She was strong in her faith and a devoted member of St. Martin of Tours.  She enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets, cooking and baking.

She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her children, Vesna Ulisses, Joe (Judy) Luich, Gloria Zadravec and Barbara McMarlin.  Maria adored and loved her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and all the future great -great grandchildren. 

Family and friends are asked to gather Thursday, February 1, 2024 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH

 Family will hold a viewing hour from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Proceeding Mass  Maria will be laid to rest in the St. Martin Church Cemetery next to her husband John.

Memorials may be made to the Church Building Fund.
