Margaret M. Meyer, 84, formerly of Medina, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Danbury of Massillon, Ohio.
Peggy was born March 5, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Peter and Margaret (nee Balog) Bobick. She attended and graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland and grew up on Buckeye Avenue on the Cleveland’s Eastside in the old Hungarian neighborhood.
Peggy began attending Cuyahoga Community College at age 50 and graduated as a Registered Nurse.
Peggy’s dream came true when she and her husband Ronald built their dream home on 5 acres on East Law Road in 1973. Peggy was an avid gardener and even appeared on “The Morning Exchange” once as a student gardener during a segment about gardening while in high school. Peggy loved gardening and raising her own food and also raising chickens, goats, turkeys, and bees for honey. Peggy loved all animals and had many cats, dogs whom she cherished including Scruffy, Zeus, Iggy, Thumper and Buddy.
Peggy loved the outdoors and was an avid walker most of her life.
“Super Peg” loved spoiling her grandchildren and taking them on adventures whenever she could. She passed onto them and her children her love of the outdoors and nature, animals and cooking.
The Pegmeister will always be remembered by her fours sons whom she raised despite their efforts to unalive themselves through all the mischief and bad decisions they made. Peggy was fearless and always point blank stood up for herself and did what she felt was right her entire life. She will truly be missed.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Steve Meyer, Ken (Diana) Meyer, Dennis (Tammy) Meyer and Todd (Beth) Meyer. Grandchildren, Lily, Sydney, Avery, Josie, John, Jillian, Joshua, Autumn, Alexander, Emilee and Mitchell and also brothers, Peter and Raymond Bobick.
Following Peggy’s request, cremation has taken place.
Memorial Mass -10:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City, Ohio.
