Lola Lavy Obituary

Lola Mae Lavy, 81, of Litchfield, Ohio passed into her heavenly home on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Lola was born June 29, 1938 in Crab Orchard, Tennessee to late Paul and Violet (nee Shrum) Reeves. She had resided in Lorain County for many years where she had been a member of the Elyria Assembly of God Church, serving as the church secretary. She had been a member of Wellington Assembly of God, Medina Assembly of God and presently Litchfield Assembly of God. Lola was a spiritual sister and mom to many. Lola dearly enjoyed music and singing in the choir. Lola was very devoted to her faith in her Lord and family. She had most recently enjoyed her volunteering experiences at Life Care Center of Medina. She was a former newspaper reporter and loved to write. Lola will be greatly missed by her husband of 10 years, Glen Lavy, children, Angela O'Dell (Roger Slone), Christopher Cagle, Paul (Michelle) Pasenow and Anthony (Rachel) Pasenow. Stepson, Clifford Lavy. Grandchildren, Shawn Reising, Seth Christian, Ryan O'Dell, Chris (Becky) Cagle, Jr., Jeremy Cagle, Benjamin Pasenow (Kayla Lee), Sierra & April Pritchett. Great grandchildren, Thea and Selina Cagle, Jacob Reising, Kyle Christian (Samantha Frutschy) and Eric Christian. Great great grandson- Collin Christian. Brothers- Charles and Thomas Reeves. Lola was preceded in death by grandchildren, Chris & Cory Cleary, and a great grandchild Kiley Reising. Visitation will be held 10:00- 12:00 Noon, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Litchfield Assembly of God Church, 9082 Norwalk Road Litchfield, Ohio, where services will be held at Noon, with Pastor Ron Dress, officiating. There will be a fellowship luncheon following the service at church. At Lola's request, cremation will follow services. The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City had the honor of serving the Lavy family
