Lois J. (Morton) Smith

Lois J. Smith, 96, formerly of York Township, Ohio passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Friday, February 2, 2024.

 Lois was born February 4, 1927 in Walhalla, South Carolina, she had lived in Cleveland prior to moving to York Township in 1970.

She enjoyed manicuring her yard, gardening, cooking and canning the produce from her garden.  An annual family event was that the family vacationed in Canada for a week staying in a cottage and enjoyed fishing.

She will be greatly missed by her son Keith (Lori) Smith, grandchildren, Brian Smith (Jenna Peebles) and Kellie Smith-Dash (Chad) and great grandchildren, Michael, Brittnie, Makenzie and Harlow.

She was preceded in death by her husband Revell in 2014; two brothers Jimmy and Mac Morton and a sister Bea Fairchild.

There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH, with the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow at York Township Cemetery.
