Lloyd E. Sharratt

Lloyd E. Sharratt, 86, of Medina, Ohio entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

Lloyd was born July 15, 1933 in West Brownsville, PA.  He grew up in Vestaburg, PA. He moved to Cleveland, OH in 1956 and has been a resident in Medina County since 1971. Lloyd was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving for 4 years. He was a machine operator with Van Dorn, Inc for 26 years.

Lloyd had dedicated his life to the Lord.  He is a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City, where he actively served as a bus driver, youth leader, adult Sunday school teacher, a song leader and soloist. Lloyd also attended the Liberty Baptist Fellowship Church, Medina.

Lloyd enjoyed reading and gardening. He took great pride in his family, especially his grandchildren and grand pet Bella.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Betty Lu (nee Hogan), children, Lyle (Jen) Sharratt, Ross (Michelle) Sharratt, Linda Sharratt and Darla Metro.  Grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 13. He is also survived by a sister, Sondra Lancaster and a brother Kenneth Sharratt.

Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Tom, Ray and Gerald Sharratt, Katherine Rafferty and Sarah Moon.

At Lloyd’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a Committal Service with full military honors when it is available for safety and health of all friends and family to attend at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either First Baptist Church, Valley City or Liberty Baptist Fellowship Church in Medina.
