Larry Wolfe Obituary

Larry James Wolfe, of Litchfield passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his home after a five-year battle with Corticobasal Syndrome.

Larry was born October 15, 1942 to the late Ernest and Agnes (White) Wolfe. He graduated from Spencer High School, class of 1960.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy (Mowery), of 57 years, who he married on June 26, 1964. They were blessed with four children, Rich (Shirley) of Medina, Wayne (Debbie) of Litchfield, David (Loretta) of LaGrange and Stacey Stoll, of Medina.

His grandchildren are Ann Snyder, Rhonda Greene, Terry Greene, Abigail and Emily Wolfe, Michael Twardesky and Alek (AJ) Wolfe, Alyson (fiancée Wyatt) and Hailey Stoll.   Larry was excited to be welcoming a great granddaughter in November 2021.  Larry is also survived by a great extended family of a brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. As well as his beloved kitty Winston.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale (Barbara) Wolfe, sister Karen (Francis) Grim and his sweet great granddaughter Natalie Greene.

Larry worked at Mining Machine in Mallet Creek, Chester Freezer Beef, Schafer painting, Elyria General Motors and Medina City Schools. Larry and Judy also owned Nu-Ever Hydro Water Hauling.  Larry served as a volunteer Firefighter and EMT with the Litchfield Volunteer Fire Department.

He was an avid motorcyclist. Larry and Judy enjoyed many vacations on the motorcycle visiting many lighthouses and covered bridges. Both were members of various motorcycle clubs, retiring from riding just two years ago.  He was a collector of M & M and lighthouse memorabilia many of which were given to him by family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the kind, compassionate staff of Brookdale Hospice and Whitney Home Care.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City. The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Litchfield Baptist Church, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Litchfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Litchfield Fire Department, Litchfield Baptist Church or Brookdale Hospice.
