Kay D. Crumpler, 89, of Litchfield, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
Kay was born February 7, 1935 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Paul and Daisy (Simpson) Hoffman and she has been a lifelong resident of Medina County.
Kay had been an active member of the Litchfield United Church of Christ for all her life, member of the choir, bible study and ladies group. She was lastly attending York Methodist Church. Kay loved her involvement in the community especially with the Litchfield Town Band for over 5o years. Through out her life, she had worked for the former High Office Supply in Medina as bookkeeper, she was a part time school bus driver for Buckeye Local Schools and retired from the United States Postal Service where she had served a clerk and rural mail carrier.
Kay and family would travel several times a years to their second home in North Carolina, which was her late husband Claude's homestead. She took great pride in maintaining her yard right up several weeks ago. Kay will be greatly missed and was loved by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Lori) Crumpler and Randy (Brenda) Crumpler, grandchildren, Jeffrey Crumpler (Jen), Robert (Shannon) Crumpler, Kevin Kotalik, Anita (Jeff) Martin, Deanna Befus and Michelle (John) Befus. 14 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration Gathering from 4:00-7:00 PM, Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio.
A private family burial will be held at Litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield, Ohio.
