Kathleen N. (Lightner) Sutliff

Kathleen N. Sutliff, 61, of Valley City, Ohio passed away Monday, May 1, 2023.

Kathy was born August 27, 1961 in Berea, Ohio to Ralph and Marion (Scher) Lightner. She has resided in Medina County since 1993.

Kathy has been dog trainer since 1996.  She was an obedience instructor and was actively involved in dog performance competition events.

She was a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and the Penn-Ohio Newfoundland Club. Outside of her extreme love for dogs she enjoyed traveling.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 30 years, Tom; son, Andrew, her 4- legged kids Chicquot and Kindle. Kathy is also survived by her mother, Marion Lightner and brother- David Lightner.

Preceded in death by her father- Ralph Lightner.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH.  (Please meet at the church).
