Judith E. (Dieter) Wolff

Judith E. Wolff, 75, of Medina, Ohio, peacefully passed onto her heavenly home on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Judy was born on August 3, 1949, in Medina, Ohio, to the late George Robert and Lois Zetta (Perrin) Dieter. She was a lifelong resident of Medina County. Judy was a 1967 graduate of Buckeye High School. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University in 1971 and her master’s degree in music from Marygrove College. Judy retired after 31 years as a music teacher from the Buckeye Local Schools, most of which were spent at Litchfield Elementary, which held a special place in her heart.

Judy was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City, where she served as choir director and organist, and enjoyed fellowship in the Ladies Aid Bible Study Group.

She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities, enjoyed outings with "the sisters," celebrated cousins’ day, and loved day trips, overnight trips, family cruises, and shopping.

She will be greatly missed by her family, as well as all who had the privilege to have known her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne; her children: Andrea (Jeremy) Bright, Matthew (Jacqueline) Wolff, and James (Sandra) Wolff; her grandchildren: Gabrielle, Emma, and Evelynn Bright; Camille and Delaney Wolff; Conner and Brynn Wolff; her siblings: Jacqueline (David) Naftzger, Patricia (David) Mohler, Robert (Nancy) Dieter, James (Pat) Dieter, Charles (Patricia) Dieter, and Carol (the late Dennis) House (Thomas Lovely); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the Gathering Area of Zion Lutheran Church, 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City, Ohio.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Jim Watson will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, at Judy’s request, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
