Judith Broucker Obituary

Judith Ann (Wolfe) Broucker, 81, of Venice, FL, passed away on January 4, 2022 after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Judy was born on March 26, 1940 to Walter and Ruth Wolfe in Elyria, OH.  She lived in Valley City for many years. After attending nursing school, she met and married Edward Broucker on December 3, 1960 going on to have two children Renee (Broucker) Tremblay and Leslie Broucker-Davis.

Prior to meeting Ed, Judy trained and focused on a career in professional roller skating.  Unfortunately, Grandma Wolfe interceded and insisted Judy engage in a more practical endeavor where Judy began a life-long love affair with quilting and sewing. She was also fond of gardening. Upon marrying Ed, Judy settled down to raise their daughters, and to celebrate life with friends and family for years to come. After Renee and Leslie graduated from college, Judy continued her pursuit of nursing where she completed her degree and spent many years working in private practice and several hospitals in the area.

Judy was passionate about her quilting and demonstrated her talents, and shared her craft with family, friends, and the many quilters she met in her annual journeys with sister Sandy (Wolfe) Berger to conventions and quilting events across the country.

After retirement, Ed and Judy settled in Venice, FL fulfilling their “snow-bird” calling where they participated in numerous hobbies, traveled, and hosted friends and family for holidays and special events.

Upon taking ill in late 2021, Judy was surrounded by family and friends for the holiday season and was in constant company of her two beloved Bichons, Cleo and Clyde.

Judy is survived by her daughters Renee (Michael) Tremblay and Leslie (Kurt) Davis; her grandchildren Andrew, Zachary, Ethan, and Regan Tremblay, and step-grandchildren Zachary and Alex Davis; her great grandchild Piper Tremblay; as well as her sister Sandra (Pete) Berger.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ruth; and husband Ed.
