With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and friend, Judith Ann (Anderson) Arison, who left us on June 26th, 2025 at the age of 86. She leaves behind a legacy of love, outspokenness, and tenacity.
Judith was born on November 20th, 1938 in Cleveland, OH. She moved to Brunswick, OH in 1970 and had been living in Medina County since. She worked for the Medina County Gazette as a motor route carrier for 33 years.
Judith was a fierce woman who brought joy and light to everyone she met. It was certainly hard to ignore her big presence in any room. Her life was a testament to strength and unwavering love for family.
Those who knew Judith will remember her for her love of card games (specifically a good game of Rummy) Cleveland sports, her many stories, and the love for her family, including those with 4 legs.
Judith is survived by her sons, Jerry (Kim) Arison and Jim (Michelle) Arison; granddaughters Emily (Liam), Mackenzie, Hannah (Brenden), Hayleigh (Derek), Kassidy, and Kennedy; great granddaughter Callahan; along with her many nieces and nephews who she treated like they were her own. Her family will all carry forward her love, lessons, unforgettable sayings, and stories. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Arison, her parents Henry and Laverne Anderson, and sisters Barbara and Donna.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10:00 am in the chapel of St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, OH (please meet at the church). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be visitation on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH. All who were touched by Judith’s life are welcome to attend and celebrate the beautiful person she was.
Though words will never be enough, we say goodbye for now, grateful for every moment we shared. Judith’s love remains with us—in our hearts, in our memories, and in the way we care for others.
