Judith Zacharias Obituary

Judith Ann Zacharias was born on October 6, 1937, in Lodi, Ohio, to the late Earl and Elinor (Bryenton) Zacharias. She died peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving children. She leaves to treasure her memories her children, Cheryl Zacharias, Brenda Zacharias, Benjamin (Tasha) Zacharias, and Keturah Zacharias; nieces Marceia Cox and Abigail (Nick) LoCascio; as well as several relatives and many close friends.

Judy attended Brunswick City Schools and Medina City Schools and graduated from Medina High School on June 2, 1955. After graduation, she was employed as a bookkeeper in Cleveland. She married her loving husband, Clinton Zacharias, on October 15, 1955. They were married for 65½ years. Judy became a baptized Christian in March 1956 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Her priorities in life were serving Jehovah God, studying the Bible, sharing Bible truths with others, and lovingly caring for her family. Throughout her life, Judy found pleasure in tending to her many flowers (including African violets, primroses, and roses), preparing homemade meals, and baking bread. Also, she felt very privileged to make unleavened bread for the Medina congregation’s annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal for 40-plus years.

She will be remembered as a loving, loyal, supportive, and dedicated wife and mother. Judy was fondly known in the community and among friends as “Mrs. Z,” “Grandma Z,” “Mama Z,” and “the primrose lady.” She was “a very special lady” who was loved and respected by many.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Roy Zacharias, and her sister, Analee Cox.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2:30 pm. over Zoom video conference only. For Zoom credentials, please contact the family at zachariasfam05@gmail.com.

A private graveside service given by her son, Benjamin, was already held at Litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield.
