Joyce O. (Onderak) Stratton

Joyce O. Stratton, 85, of Galloway, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 29, 1939 to the late Peter Onderak and Lucille Curtis.  She moved to Litchfield, Ohio in 1976.  After her husband retired in 2001, they moved to West Virginia.  After her husband Paul’s death in 2017, she moved to Columbus to live with daughter Amy.

Joyce had attended Litchfield Baptist Church and was a very caring and giving person who touched many lives.  She was a strong loving mother and grandmother, who cherished her time with family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Amy Caplinger, Rachel (Russ) LaPointe, Sarah (Albert) Shelton and Leah (Chris) Hall.  Grandchildren, Orion, Ashley, Mackswel (Maria), Kallie, Summer and Shannon and one great grandson, Leon. Also survived by her sisters, Paula Nogal, Roberta Griffin, Cindy Bellan and a brother, Ronald Butler and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by siblings, Sheila Mikoch, Claudia Kuenzer, Nancy Pelznik and Kathy Uland.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where the funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Interment to follow at Litchfield Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials if desired to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
