Joyce M. (Bargar) Migchelbrink

Joyce M. Migchelbrink, 95, of Valley City, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022.

Joyce was born May 19, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Pearl (Whitten) Bargar.  Joyce moved to Valley City in1947 when she married the love of her life Theodore Migchelbrink.

Joyce was the last of 14 siblings in her family. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to raising 10 her own children.  Joyce was a wonderful cook and baker, canning and freezing produce from her garden.  She took pride in raising beautiful flower gardens.

Joyce has a lovely collection of angels and bells. She was an avid Indians fan and had a talent of painting artwork for pleasure.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Survived by her children, Carolyn Byard, Linda (Donald) Erb, Theodore Migchelbrink, Jr., Helen (Liz) (Steve) Denton, Catherine (Galen) Claycomb, John (Beverly) Migchelbrink, Margaret Migchelbrink, Michael Migchelbrink and Joyce Ford.  Grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 27 and great great grandmother of 4.

Preceded in death by husband Theodore, Sr. in 2011, daughter Martha Migchelbrink, 1974, grandson, Mark Claycomb and great grandson Javier Perez.

Family and friends are invited to Calling hours- Weds. August 17, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, Valley City, with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested if desired to Hospice of Western Reserve and St. Martin Building Fund.
