John Seever Obituary

John C. Seever, 89, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

John was born October 17, 1936 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Jacob and Geraldine (Miller) Seever. After retiring at the end of 1997, he and his wife moved to an adult community in Florida and where he was very involved in organizing and conducting golf tournaments for over 100 of the residents and was active at the clubhouse functions. John was elected to the Board of Directors of the community served as President for 2 years.  He was an avid golfer and got his first hole -in- one while  in Florida.  John and Alice than moved back to Ohio int 2004 to be nearer to their children.

John proudly served active duty in the United State Army, followed by four years in the reserves. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Fostoria and a 1959 graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  He taught at the Nordonia Hills Public School, as a High School English, teaching 9th and 11th grades from 1963-1968. John changed his profession in 1969 and worked for Acro Tool and Die Company as plant manager for 28 years, retiring in 1997.

John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alice (nee Bertsch) Seever, children, Thomas (Tammi) Seever, Kay Baldwin, Annette (Bryan) Weber and Nicole (Gary) Wingfield; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Following John’s request, cremation has taken place.

A private interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
