John William Klooz

John William Klooz, 97 ½ , of Columbia Station, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

John was born August 12, 1928 in Columbia Station, Ohio to the late Harvey and Murnay (Tomes) Klooz.  He has been a lifelong resident of Columbia Station, and John had served in our United States Army. 

John had worked for the former Bunker Hill Greenhouse in Medina Township for over 40 years as well as farming the family farm. He worked with his God given talents in the earth and soil all his life.

He is survived by his wife Emma Jean (Zweifel), married 64 years; children, Murnay Denington, John (Crystal) Klooz and Harvey Klooz; grandchildren,

Brad Denington, Calvin Klooz, Emma Klooz and Anthony Klooz; great grandchildren, Daniel, Lawrence, Remington and one on the way in May, (Ozlynn).

Preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Denington and siblings, Emery Klooz and Irene Borling.

Friends and family may gather for Calling hours from 11:00 am till the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City, Ohio.

Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City, Ohio.
