Janet J. (Setzer) Ross

Janet J. Ross of Valley City passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.  She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 27, 1933 to the late George and Louise (Thalman) Setzer. Janet was the beloved wife of William (Bill) Ross (deceased) for almost 65 years.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was an active member of Life Spring Church in Valley City.  She served as a volunteer for the Liverpool Township Fire Dept. for many years.  She was a Sunday school teacher, gardener, an accomplished painter and also loved baking and sewing.  She is survived by her 5 children, Debbie (Jeffrey) Hendricks, Bill (Peggy) Ross, Renee’ (Chris) Dyer, Sheri Breit and Gayle (Rene’) Schoonbrood, 13 grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Tanya, Tara, Katie, William, Christopher (deceased), David, Nicole, Corey, Shelly, Jason and Daniel,  and 12 great grandchildren, Turner, Mason, Ava, Olivia, Landon, Hayden, Bryson, Maisie, Avery, Canon, Mackenzie and William.  She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Setzer, of Arizona.  The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City has the honor of serving the Ross Family.
