Jane M. (Polifko) Schneider

Jane M. Schneider, 70, of Valley City, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Jane was born June 27, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Raymond and Ann (Drahos) Polifko.  She has resided in Valley City since 1991.

Jane had worked with special needs children in the Buckeye School System for several years and her lastly had been a Secretary with the Columbia School System.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Valley City where she had been a Sunday School teacher and loved the kids. She also had served for as church secretary for a few years.

Jane was very proud and very much involved in her children’s activities, especially the Boy Scout Troop #502 and the Buckeye Band Boosters. She loved to read, making ceramic artwork, cooking, baking and took an interest in watching wrestling.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Edward, married 40 years, children, Emily (Andrew) Quinn and Benjamin Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Raeanne.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Emmanual United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Road, Valley City, OH with an hour viewing prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Rest Acre Cemetery, Valley City.
