Jane E. (Kratzer) Kasper

Jane E. Kratzer-Kasper, 72, of Litchfield, Ohio passed away peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Jane was born February 9, 1950 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Grady Kratzer and Irene (nee Smith) Kratzer.  She had attended Black River School and graduated from Buckeye High School. Jane continued her education at Kent State University and graduated from Fairview School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Jane started her career in nursing at Metro Health, Cleveland and then moved to Indiana where she lived and worked for many years.

Jane had a tender heart for animals especially cats and dogs and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her mom, Mary Ann Kratzer, siblings, Mary Cress, Robert (Sandra) Reusch, Bill Jackson (deceased), Sue Dugan, Karen (Paul) Schaefer, John Jackson, Carol Frank, Julie (Chris) Shaw and Jim Kratzer, also numerous nieces and nephews.

Following Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Private Family Celebration of Life is planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to any animal or veteran organizations in Jane’s memory.
