James R. Borling

James R. Borling, 83, of Medina, Ohio entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Jim was born om March 2, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Petrick) Borling. He resided in Parma for many years prior to moving to Medina.  He served four years in the United States Air Force and was a member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City. 

Jim had worked in the accounting department with Kelley Steel Erectors, Inc. in Cleveland from 1985-2007.

He was an avid sports enthusiast and very proud of his kids and grandchildren following all their activities.

Jim had two special kitty companions, Elsa and Tillie.

He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Carolyn (Mlcoch), dear father of Meg Bakatis, Beth (Ken) Haas and Gary (Melissa) Borling. Special grandchildren, Kyle and Morgan Haas. His siblings Don (Adele) Borling (both deceased), Bill (deceased) Dottie Borling and Bobbie (Bob) Keener, and also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am, Monday, December 29, 2025 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, Ohio, where there will be an hour visitation in the church gathering area prior to the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Kitten Krazy, Medina in Jim’s honor.

Burial will be held at a later date at Ohio Western National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
