James F. Berger, 69, of Litchfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022.
Jim was born June 5, 1953 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Frank and Susan Berger and has resided in Litchfield most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Buckeye High School and was a member of FFA and also a 4-H member.
Jim was raised and worked on the family dairy farm and after graduation went to work at Mack Industries for 30+ years.
He was an avid train buff, collecting O Gauge trains and traveled to Horse Shoe Curve in Altoona, PA for train watching. Jim was quite proud of having his Massey Ferguson 165 recently restored and he was active in tractor pulling at the Medina and Lorain County Fairs in his younger years.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Lois; daughters, Cheryl (Kevin) Green and Jeanette Berger; grandchildren, Jimmy and Molly. Also a sister Barbara (Mike) Shilling, uncle and cousin to many. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Berger.
There will be visitation from 5:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where the funeral will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 with Pastor Jim Ellison, officiating. Interment to follow at Litchfield Cemetery.
