Helen M. (Uhnak) Moehle

July 17, 1928 ~ January 24, 2022 (age 93)


Helen M. Moehle, 93 of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Helen was born July 17, 1928 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Vincent and Mary (Zubricky) Uhnak.  She had resided in Medina County for most of her life.

When her children where in school, Helen and her late husband were actively involved in the Buckeye Boosters organization.

Helen was a member of St. Martin of Tours, Valley City and the Medina Eagles where she and Frank loved dancing.

Helen was a spunky gal, who enjoyed fast cars, was an avid follower of Nascar and enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Florida.

She was a true homemaker, and was noted for her famous “Monster Cookies”. The last few years, she loved working on word search puzzles.

Helen will be greatly missed by her children, Bruce Moehle, Douglas (Christine) Moehle, Karen (John) Mullen, Jerry (Andrea) Moehle and Casey Kurtz a great grandchild who lived with her. 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Brothers- Vincent and Michael Uhnak and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Moehle in August 1999.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City (Please meet at the church) Facial Masks will be required at the funeral home and church.

Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Medina City Firefighters Association, 300 West Reagan Pkwy., Medina, Ohio 44256.
