Helen E. Jarman, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Helen was born on July 10, 1941 in Wells Township OH, daughter of the late Rexford and Pauline (Engler) Blanchard.
Helen had an adventurous spirit. She resided and was employed as a Nurse in 5 states including Ohio, Colorado, California, Washington and Michigan. She loved to travel, camp, picnic and had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. She found joy and peace in nature—whether walking through the woods or exploring the beauty of America’s national parks. She also loved music, attending concerts, and expressing her creativity through painting, jewelry making, basket weaving and a variety of crafts. She loved a get together and made friends wherever she went. She also loved her family wholeheartedly and cherished every opportunity to share her passions with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son John E. Jarman Jr, sisters Norma and Nancy, and three brothers Rex, Glenn, and Charles.
Surviving are her two daughters Jill Haury (Tom), Julie Lough (Dan). Seven Grandchildren Shannan Morse (Jason), John Jarman III (Mindi), Jennifer Popp (Josh), Brittany Evans (Chris), Dustin Haury, Dan Lough Jr. (Sarah), and Nick Lough (Connie), and Six Great Grandchildren Brooklyn and Tristan Morse, Aria Roberts, Lorelai and Jameson Evans, and Audrey Lough.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at Foxfield Preserve in Wilmot Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time outdoors—take a walk in the woods, visit a national park, or simply sit in the quiet beauty of nature. If you wish, donations may also be made to support our national parks, preserving the places Helen loved so dearly.
