Harold was born July 11, 1926 in Parma, Ohio to the late Fred and Sarah (nee Gerling) Bohl. He has been a lifelong resident of Lafayette Township.

His love of entertaining and cooking took him on yet another path where, he became the owner and operator of the former well known Abbeyville Country Kitchen with his late wife Betty. Harold not only renovated and successfully managed this establishment, but created an atmosphere where patrons became lifelong friends. Never stopping for a minute and without hesitation, the creation of Bohl’s Roasts, known to the community, family and friends allowed him to continue a legacy where he and his wife Jackie shared in the special occasions of others. For Harold, family and friends were a priority and the gatherings most cherished.
Harold was a past chairman of the Lafayette Township Zoning Board for many years. He was a past member of Waltz Methodist Church, where he had served as chairman on the administration council. He also attended and was a member of Lafayette United Methodist Church.
