Gladys J Welch

Gladys J. Welch, 93, of Medina passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Gladys was born April 25, 1926 in Detroit, MI. She moved to Parma in 1961, raised her family, then moved to Cherry Hill, NJ for 36 years and returned to Medina County in 2009.

Gladys had worked at May Co. in Parmatown, during the 60’s. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was noted for enjoying trips to the Casino, bowling and playing cards.  Gladys loved her animals, especially Liza.

Gladys is survived by her children, Kathleen (Arthur) Shupe of Lakewood, Donald Welch, of N.J., Eugene, Jr. (deceased) Lynne Welch, of Litchfield. Grandchildren, David Shupe,(wife Lois, deceased), Brian (Jamie) Shupe, Darryl Shupe (Juliet Cook) and Timothy Welch. Great grandchildren, Tyler, Anthony, Abigail Shupe; Nicole West, Julia Guercia, Maggie & Olivia Champlin.  Great great grandchildren, Brayden, Elliot & Emmet.

Preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Tim” Welch, Sr. in 2010.

Sister- Evelyn Flotte and sister-in-law, Lorraine (George) Donaldson.

Visitation will be held from 10:30- 11:00 AM, Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where services will be at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Dennis Murawski, officiating.

Burial will follow at Crow Road Cemetery, Litchfield. Ohio.
