Gerald A. “Jerry” Lasch, 79, of Columbia Station, Ohio passed away January 8, 2022.
Jerry was born April 2, 1942 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Gustav Albert and Alma Kathleen (Pickering) Lasch. Jerry grew up in Lodi and lived in Cleveland before moving to Columbia Station in the early 1970’s. Jerry retired in 1995 after 30 years of service with the Cleveland Police mounted unit. He had also served as security guard with Channel 5 TV station and Triad Security.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Brunswick Eagles. Jerry enjoyed patronizing and visiting with friends at the Red Onion.
Jerry was an outdoorsman. He had planted many trees on his property and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Cheryl) Lasch and their children, Emily Lasch, Megan (Jacob) Olar, and Kyle Lasch; Michael (Deborah) Lasch and their children, Nathan and Sarah Lasch; seven great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor Lasch, September 28, 2021.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM, Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City with a service at 8:00 PM.
The family suggests memorials if desired to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
