Frank “Skip” Di Leonardo, III, 72, of Valley City, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021.
Skip was born August 18, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Marilyn (Le Pelley) Di Leonardo. He lived most of his life in Cleveland graduating from John Marshall High School in 1968. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S., Marine Corp and served two years during the Vietnam Era.
Skip had worked as a diesel mechanic for many years and retired from Brunswick School System where he had worked as a custodian.
Skip enjoyed tinkering with late model cars, going to car shows and watching car racing.
He loved hanging with his friends and was truly loyal to his family.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Diane (Wright), married 51 years, loving children, Joseph, Nick and Darlene, cherished grandchildren, Karmyn and Jaxson. Dear Brother of Michael (Sally) Di Leonardo, Anthony Di Leonardo and sister Paula Young.
Special extended family Nena & Paul Kaschalk, Mary Schneider, Dolores Yarmock, Lin & John Eglet, Gary & Barb Wright and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by his brother, James Di Leonardo.
Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday, October 24, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, OH with Rev. Charles Ryba, officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help defray final expenses.
Facial Masks will be highly recommended at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
